What are the Batt and Aux for on the ESC?

Starting a new thread for this since I have no idea and would love to get a few links to what they can be used for.

I'm assuming you mean the Batt and Aux on the receiver.

The Batt spot is where you would plug in a receiver battery pack if you're using it in a nitro vehicle or just don't want to lose control of the car when the main pack is close to depleted.

The AUX spot is where you can plug in items like transponders (needed for racing) and fans to cool the ESC or Motor.

Just to let you know that you can get it way cheaper at RadioShack....all you would have to do is find the plug and solder it on.

The battery slot on the receiver is used to provide power the receiver. In the days before the electronic speed controls (ESC) it was necessary to use the 4-cell battery holder plugged into this slot as most vehicles came with mechanical speed controls that were moved by a second servo. When the ESC became more common the battery slot was not used as the ESC provided the 6V power needed by the receiver. Other vehicles like gas and nitro boats as well as sailboats all need a receiver battery pack to power the receiver.

The auxiliary slot on the receiver is used for systems with 3 or more channels. This allows such things as movable rear wings, lights, sirens, etc... to be used and activated by a 3rd channel on the transmitter.

My apologies for going off-topic here, but I was wondering if you saw my response in the other thread regarding your 'wobbly wheel' problem since you hadn't responded back about it.
In short.. check to see if the inside wheel bearing is missing. I had the same issue on one of my trucks.

I go off topic all the time, havent been able to take the wheel assembly apart yet, have to get to a real workbench so i dont lose anything else. LOL. My wheel pin, or whatever it is, is now a permanent fixture of the couch.

My make shift fix for it, cut the peg off an earing and snip it to size. Works perfectly, for now.

As for the extra slots, thanks for the response. anyone know the voltage that is being released? Thinking about making a light kit for the car since i wont ever race the thing. I want to pimp my ride out.

It is only a matter of removing your 'makeshift pin', disconnecting the upper control arm to allow the wheel hub to flop over, remove the dogbone and remove the wheel shaft. You actually should be able to see if there is or isn't an inner bearing without removing the wheel shaft.

Any table (kitchen table) surface should be sufficient to perform this check.
