i ordered a cf drive shaft yesterday, got it for 11 shipped instead of 19(gotta love the make an offer button) on ebay.

i'm having sooooo much fun with this truck!!! even though the servo doesn't center right anymore so i can't really jump. . . so for now i'm trying to make the spare set of tires i got go bald . does any one have a link or something to how to MAKE a gear cover?? i found it once before i got the truck but didn't save it and now i really need it but can't find it anywhere .

and zepplen, YOU HAVE TO GET ONE!!!!! was your monster truck nitro?? i made the switch (not really switch cuz i still have my nitro) and i LOVE the little truck.. it's soooooo much easier to maintain and it's small enough to go about anywhere but not so smll it can't take a good beating like nitro's. but there's just something about the sound, and having a 15 pound thing flying around that can break your legs that just keeps me hooked on nitro.

oh yeah, and my monster is a 1/10th nitro. Love the speed. But I bought the electric for the versatility. You can't really start up a nitro in the house, plus i love tuning. That's why I bought an RTR, I want to watch it grow. You can't really tune a nitro without going all the way and messing with the engine. And I wouldn't dare. There the best Engine I've ever seen on my traxxas cars. man, can't wait till my new truck comes

yea i saw u had a t-maxx right after i wrote the other post.lol. those are awesome trucks. . . it'd be kinda cool if you got the same rims and tires as your t-maxx for the rc18t and then did a paint job like it, so you'd have a little mini me

You COULD have gotten the RTR from Towerhobbies... $172 minus $20 discount if you spend over $150, and shipping with tracking number is $7. I got my RC18B and Pirahna Digital Peak from there. I love them both! Got to drive at Miami Beach, nice large patch of wet sand/dirt. lots of ruts and rocks made it REALLY fun. the whole thing (especially the rear arms and dogbone) where entirely caked in wet sand, but i just scaped that off. I switched the stock electronics for my Airtronics Super Micro receiver and Spy and it's even better, no more overheating ESC like the stock one. The spy doesn't even get warm- hooray.

wow man that sounds fun. . do you have a gear cover though?? wet sand and gears don't sound like too good of a combo. and don't u love the spy??? soo small and orangy.lol . and it doesn't sputter when the batteries are low so you don't have to pick up the car til you get inside (i'm lazy)

No, no gear cover, but everything stays clean with the tight buggy body. However, all of my plugs and wires are getting to the point where they are overheating... They burn my hands easily, and my Spy gets hot too (only if i'm going crazy with the wheelies on carpet though, hehe). My Dad and I might find a way to make some zero-loss plugs, and if we can make them cheaply enough we'll distribute them.
