Smile Sweet Find.

These should get me by with the stock ESC for now. I found my broken PS2 in the attic and couldn't resist opeining it up.

OK, so I cut down the heat sink and zip-tied it on. Added some curvature to it too so bodies would fit better. It works well and I haven't had a cut outs yet but man that thing gets hot. An ESC will definately be my first upgrade.

Nice mod man......instead of ziptieing it you might want to hold the heatsink down using shoo goo........i dont recommend using CA to hold it down at all.

Nice. On my RC18b I have trouble placing everything. i have to carefully place all the wires and plugs or else the body doesn't fit.

Have you thought about cutting down the wires a bit, so that the body will fit without forcing it.

lol, well i can't do that. I don't want to risk ruining the wires on my stuff. I don't have any plugs to use now anyways.

You don't have to cut them all the way down. A little here and there makes a big difference.

i took a few half-hours of my time and several feet of double-sided tape hostage and managed to make the wiring clean... sort of.
