Thumbs up First drive of M18

OK...Alfred and I finally got together and ran the cars. I have to say, there's NO comparison with the M18 and the MRS4...The M18 had to be the coolest 1/18th scale car I've ever driven. It goes exactly where you point it, and is smooth as glass...Gotta get one!!! Thanks Alfred, I really enjoyed driving it. I'm already milking the wife for one.

Well I've already swapped out the front bulkhead and found where the slop is in the steering linkage. If my repair job doesn't work out, I'll go back to the stock one and deal with the flex.

The aluminum linkage has brass inserts where they mount to the knuckes. Those had excess slop, and the screws have enough play to rotate within the linkage. I mixed JB weld and coated the inside of the link ends. Then inserted the brass ball and sealed around the top with more JB. I think it should be a tighter setup and keep the car from wandering.

I'll keep you posted ...gotta go; dinner's ready.
