Speed Controls
Ok, I am pissed.. I just found out the Airtronics i just got is not compatible with the speed control.. Apparently the Speed Control is a LRP Electronics FW/REV for Futaba setup.. I tried on the Aitronics Receiver apparently not gonna work with the new Z Connector on the receiver..
So I need to know where I can find a fairly cheap speed control with Reverse and Forward that is also compatible with the Z-Connector Airtronics/Sanwa Receiver..

can you please take a pic of the plug on the esc....it should be compatible....if it has the side tab on the plug then you will need to snip that part off.

I will try take one when i get home, but when I look at the LEd on the Speed control, The light goes Red when push on the throttle, and goes green when push revers on the throttle - sorta tells me the polarity is not right the connector on the speed control is standard [S - +] / the Z-Connecter style on the Receiver is [S + -]
Also the Speed control connector has FUT initials meaning it meant for a Futaba Receiver right? If so then I am looking find a Airtronics/SanWa compatible with the new Z-Connector..

On the plug esc all you would have to do is push down on the pin and slide the wire out so you can match the polarities.

Yeah, But finally realize what the problem was.. it was the Gear on the motor not making contact, it keeps ouththreading, so i pushed it back sure enough the speed control is working.. So now i just need to buy a new motor unless you have a remedy on how keep the gear shaft on the motor to stay in place and not push out while moving..

Im glad to see that you found the problem man.....now at least you know its the motor, might as well get a new one, what motor are you running or basically what were you running.........
what do you mean by gear shaft, do you mean pinion gear on the motor shaft.......its best to put a flat spot on the shaft so this way the pinion stays put.

you dont by chance have one of those friction-type pinions on it, do you? the ones w/o the pinion screw to hold it in place?
if that's the case, then you need to replace the pinion, or as SM (Super mod) says...flat spot needed on the shaft..

Well the best low cost motor i can think of would be the Graupner Speed 300, but you will have to solder on your gauge wire and favorite plug and 2 or three 103 or 104 caps. And by all means get yourself some steel or aluminum pinions that have the screw.......this will guarantee the pinion to stay on the motor shaft.
