Hey Guys, I was finally able to pick up a Hudy Micro Tire Truer. I wanted to turn down the diameter of my tires to prevent chunking and to lower the ride height of the car. When I begin the trueing process it seems as though the tire is burning rather than having material removed. Any suggestions?
when you use the truer, dont push on the knob, hold on it, let it true lightly. Make sure you have a calpier to make sure the tire diameters are even, and make outer edges are flat/even with a file while its spinning free. Try trueing it to 34mm
Thanks guys, I figured out the problem.......The tires I was trying to true had alot of TC in them. Once I tried it with brand new tires it worked great. This is a great way of lowering your car without resorting to using the droop screws. Also the tires don't chunk as easily when they are trued down.
