Dang that is nice Jon.....so how many MLST's do you own now....or is that the same one.....Like the rims and tire combo on that one....so hows the handling....Does the CAW hex's fit with no mods.

Alfred,

Same truck......just different wheels/tire setup.

The HPI setup handles like a DREAM!!!! So reactive!

The CAW hexs fit perfectly.....and I HIGHLY recommend that you look at the CAW Axles as well. They are a bit longer, and provide a more secure nut fit on the thread.

That is kewl!

I guess with a harder tire and lower profile it helps with the handling!

Have you tried any other wheel adapters?

I know that the CAW ones require the longer axle as the adapters them self are wider than other wheel adapters.

I have tried the Trinity adapters...and they dont fit correctly. They seem to no slide all the way on the axle (either stock or CAW). I think the inner diameter of the hex is so small at some point that does not allow it slide all the way on.

You can purchase the complete hex kit from: http://shop.tinyrc.com/product.php?p...7&cat=0&page=1

I see that the hex kit is made for the Half 8......so it does fit without any mods then. Im taking a look at all the pics and hopups now so i can get an idea on what fits and also what to buy....dont really want to buy something that wont fit or it was forced fit...lol....great job Jon....and thanks for keeping everyone at YM posted on what your doing....its nice to see someone taking the time to see what fits man.......even though it wasnt made for the MLST.

Thanks Jon for the link......and another question if i may ask....how are the stock parts, like the stock CVD's- were they beefy enough or did you replace them because they broke....Just want to know because this is going to be controlled by my G/F, she doesnt get the handle on things yet, shes rough around the edges when it comes to the control of the vehicle....I figure that she could use the MLST as a practice vehicle........I really dont want her on my M18t just yet.....lol....

I just ran it on a BMX track today (soooo fun)!

I will say that it rolled a couple of times...and I did bend the front driver side CVD. I bent it back when i got home!

Works like a charm now.

I would consider maybe thinking about upgrading them.

Alfred, i've tossed mine a bit, but noting too spectacular. I saw a guy do some damage with a "few" cartwheels. That killed his Fr/RR diff's and maybe the gears? But his CVD's seemed ok. They maybe a bit tougher than we expected . But of course the diff gears seem to be THE weak link right now

Considering that only the minor things like the strain on the diffs and drivetrain it does seem to be a tough truck....I hear another street racer coming on..... And once again guys thanks for the info......
