My scaler tlt.

This project is going very slow as I have a few crawlers that get my attention first but I would like to get this done soon as winter is here and its the rainy season. So that means, perfect time for a waterproof trail truck.
. I plan to probably use a pede tranny, or axial.... 35t lathe motor. I also think it will be a 2.2 truck, but 1.9 might win me over as I don't have any that size yet. This is where it stands thus far.

Finished, I robbed the body off of my drifter... yes I've been drifting a K5.

Enjoy!, My first crawler that has next to no articulation... going to be fun!

It runs awesome and first run went really good. No broken parts and everything stayed together! Love it.

This is what the insides look like, FUNction over fashion I say!

This truck is a great climber, even with the tricky unlocked front diff. I love the challenge it offers. See the rust in the screw heads, yup... shes seen some water! haha.

I think I have the stock cover around but it doesn't look as EXTREME with it on. In the years I have been crawling I have never seen anyone get rocks caught up in the gears.

Still looks awesome though.......hows the flex......dont really know rock crawling terms.....i guess its side to side motion when going over an obstacle.

The shot where I'm crawling up the mossy rock, thats max flex for this guy. Its designed to act like a stock 4 by 4 truck basicly.

For this truck I used xray tc shocks. They are alot shorter then what I use on my comp style crawlers. They are fairly stiff I guess but not overly. Here is a small shallow creek crossing. I love this truck, goes good.
