You can charge the cells at 2amps at 3 or 5mv........if you want longer runtimes then you can charge the batts at 1.5amps.

I charge at 1.6amps, with 8mv as my delta on my Pirahna Digital Peak charger. I'll try 4mv.

some chargers do the cutoff voltage per cell, some do it as a total amount.

per cell, 3-7mv is fine, so for a 6 cell pack if the charger does it total amount for the pack in the settings, you want 30-40mv as the cutoff.

older nimh cells, like anything that is not a KAN-1050, PN-1250, CBP-1050, GP1100, IB1200, IB1400 you do not want to charge at over 1.5amps, you want to keep the charge around 1amp.

the newer, better cells you can charge between 1.5 - 2.0amps no sweat.

I charge the stock RC18 pack at 1.6amps and it seems to be fine with that... The charger's instructions say to set the Delta Peak at around 8mV for a NI-MH pack... I'm assuming 4mV is correct for a micro pack.

Small cells will tend to get pretty hot if you charge them too hard.
You can up the charge rate with successive charges, but stay with the pack and monitor the temperature.

Well, I finally took this one off line power to do some tests in preparation for traveling with this. I wanted to check out my wireless broadband. Put on standby, and it was dead a few hours later. Now I have it plugged in, and I can see on the power monitor that it says it is charging and can detect the presence of the battery- and also detect when it is out.
