Going brushless with a Mamba?

Ok, I've stated before that I'm very green to RC's, and I was just wondering what I would need to do to make a Mamba in the pp work? A) Do I need a new ESC? B) Are there any handling differences with a brushless than with a brushed? I know that brushless can actually perform better because of the fact that magnets are rotating in the brushless instead of the brushed; where they do not. C) What do I need to do to mount this thing? Do I simply need to modify the holes for new screws or do I need to make new holes by drilling?
Hopefully Alfred and Bloodybastard can answer these questions as they practically RUN this board :P. BTW, I just ran an awesome bash session where I jumped my Traxxas Stampede, five feet . Hopefully a vid will be up soon.

It's a simple drop in for the Mamba into the Pro-Pulse. There are three different mounting holes on the Mamba motor itself, so there is no need to drill out your own mounting holes on the motor mount. When using a brushless motor, it has three wire leads, so there is no way that you'd be able to use your stock ESC. If you get a Mamba-25 "package," then it will already come with the ESC. All you will have to do is solder on your own connector to the battery. It's highly recomended that you go with a Deans Ultra plug. (Take a look at my "Project: T100(R) Phase Three: Hyper Speed for an example! http://www.yourmicro.com/forums/show...t=19876&page=3)

The handling is insane!!! It will be like night and day when you pull the throttle and watch as your little rocket flies down the street! Here's a link for more info: http://www.castlecreations.com/products/mamba.html

It's entirely up to you what Kv you get. Generally, the lower the Kv- the lower the top end, but higher in torque. Thus, the higher the Kv- the higher the top end, but lower in torque. For a better overview on this topic, check out this link: http://www.castlecreations.com/suppo...a%20Setups.pdf

You are partially correct. Alfred runs the boards, he is the Super Moderator. I am just a participant. Also, as Erock 808 has done, there are many people on these boards that are capable (some moreso than me) and willing to help.

If you are 'green' to RC I suppose you just bought the Stampede as well.

Nope I bought it 4 years ago. I'm new to modding them, not new to making them.

If you've been building them from starter kits for 4 yr's I wouldn't consider that to be very green to RC's. You've got the basics down already, modding them above and beyond RTR is just going to the next level.
