Its probably going to be a while. Adam's (Harnois) friend is the one editing it and I think its just something he does on his spare time. We have hours of video because we do so much racing in one day so its a lot to look over. Theres some great shots though. Theres pleanty of good side by side and bumper to bumper racing and great bloopers. Last Sunday Adam caught a perfect shot of someone rolling his car right infront of the cam car. I'm not going to say when or if we'll get the vids out because thats Adam's choice so don't expect anything :-p.

I'm eager to releasing the video clips of our tight racing and crashing, but it will be a while, a few weeks at least, and that will be a separate thread. So many fun things to do, so little time!

I am almost done with my wife's "Micro Roadster" open-wheeled conversion using a Micro RS4. If Dave finishes his, that'll be 3 open-wheeled cars racing this saturday. The other 3 drivers should get theirs converted in the next week or two, so we can race with 6 open-wheeled cars.

If you mean harder to control with the open wheeled cars thats actually what were after. Adam's wife said it herself that she likes muscling people around to get past them so racing with open wheels will hopefully make everyone give and take a little more making the racing even better. When we do have accidents they should be more spectacular too :-D. The balance of the RS4 might stay the same but they handle the track great anyway. With how we had to move everything back a tiny bit on the M18 it deffinatly helped the handling because the rear end was loose on our slick track and overall the center of gravity is much better then the last layout running the regular car bodies. Its not any faster.... but its more comfortable to drive.

Yeah with open wheels impacts with others car seem more realistic and have greater consequences for the aggressor. It should make people a bit more careful with the passing. Originally we started getting the open-wheel bug because the on-car video is a lot better when the front wheels of the cam car are in the picture. You can see the front wheels steering and even the front suspension moving if it is setup nice'n soft. The cam also records audio so you an hear the motor reving and the brake being applied. So this gives a good idea of what the driver of the cam car is doing with both steering and throttle/brake. And then with the cam car being open-wheeled, why not make all the cars open-wheeled? Keeps it fair. Plus we might eventually put cams on more than one car so we'd want even the cam cars to look decent.

Yeah if you set up the suspension of the M18 so that it has "sag" or "droop," and make sure the suspension moves freely (teflon lube all the pivots), and then move the weight back a little, and also combine it with a good remote that has the "exponential" feature, then that really does make a "comfortable" car.

Now that's what I want to see. Full blown open wheeled racing!

We did have 3 open wheeled cars running on Saturday. There were deffinatly some intresting accidents between some of the open wheeled cars. The other 2 regulars that didn't do the open wheeled conversion yet should have theirs done pretty soon hopefully by next Saturday. We got some awesome pictures of the 3 open wheeled cars and pleanty of the track is in the shots.

Man, Alfred, pull'n out the shots are we? Good greif.

I'll try to get some more pics of more of our open-wheeled Micros here in a couple days. And more pics of the track.

My parents have been visiting the last few days and they are actually helping out with track improvements, adding scenery like sand dunes and palm trees and bushes around the track. What they created has about the same realism as these train setups that people make. It's tripp'n. So if we keep going at this rate soon our track will look like a train setup except with a race track going through it rather than trains.

Oh my dad also drove one of the cars. He drove it super slow and could not really keep it on the "pavement." He said "geeze this is really hard." He has no practice with any kind of RC though.
