Just checking in

Seems things are still plugging along around here.

It's been forever since I've been around, and since I've touched any of my rc vehicles I've considered popping a few back together and having some bash sessions. The 540 micro is still in my posession and probably closed to road worthy. Maybe when I get some time I'll hang around and see whats up in the forums here.

I feel the same.

I've been so busy lately I never get to play with the toys since I moved and consequently stopped racing

I have a 540 micro still but its 60% built, I have all of the peices needed to get it road worthy...just havent yet, lol

Is it just me or do you guys buy new stuff instead of actually completing cars? I have a ton of stuff half built around the house. I seem to favor canibalizing my cars for parts lately... mostly electronics.

I was just catching up on old threads.. Things have certainly changed. i'm in a new state with a new job. I starting to get the 540 urge again i just might have to whip out the old monster and run her around on the local HS brand new outdoor running track.

Back From The Dead.

Wow, has it really been that long since I've been around here?

So I had some time to kill and ended up stopping at a local hobby shop. It's been awhile. Picked up one of those micro T's (meh), and a cheapo heli that just sorta goes up and down (still really fun). And I got to thinking of my neglected rc's and my pals of the past and the forums. Nice to see it's all still alive and kicking.

As is my own forums (zx6e.net). Just got back a month ago from our second anual Deals Gap trip, which besides a few non life threatening wrecks, was a complete success yet again.

I have been mostly working (back wrenching on cars, BLEH!) and riding when I find time. I've still been doing a bunch of online gaming even though the games have changed of course I've done quite a few track days on my sportbike. It's an amazing hobby but is expensive (and I thought RC was?!) and potentially dangerous, as my bro found out when he high sided and broke his leg. (nevermind the EXTENSIVE damage to his bike). But it really is amazing to go out there and improve more than you ever thought possible. And the pure joy and delight in finally dragging your knee through the corners like the big boys do (especially on a bike as heavy and outdated as mine).

But anyways, for the most part, all is well. and I've really thought about working on my old vehicles and taking them out for a spin, especially the 540 micro which really just needs a new turnbuckle installed and to be charged up. Should be ready to go. I still never sold that damned Fusion either.

Take care folks. I'd love to hear back from the OG's here who are still around.
