Coreless repair question, PLEASE LOOK

if a wire were to break on a orion elite coreless motor could i just pop the back peice off and resolder it easily or would it wreck it if i poped the back off?

They say that it's really intricate inside (and that's true) but not to the point that it'll instantly vaporize the innards just by you peeking. I've popped the back off of mine many times. Just be careful of:

1. the screws themselves... don't strip them. Use the right screwdrivers. (#000)

2. The brushes are reallly delicate so don't futz around with them.

3. If you're going to solder it back on yourself, do so with the right tip. It's delicate work.

ohhh you took out the tab thing so now its just wire comin out, good idea

The older version of the Elite Modified had solder tabs that protruded from the end bell.
The newer versions don't have solder tabs. Because the tabs were prone to breaking easily, Team Orion released the version you see in Fringo's pic.
I have an older Elite Modified and a year ago, my tabs broke off also. I called Team Orion and they sent replacement brushes to me for free.
Team Orion usually has good customer service so why don't you just give them a call and ask for replacement brushes. Just be sure to mention that you have the older version with solder tabs and not wires.
