Which 1/10 scale touring?

I'm on the verge of deciding on a 1/10 scale touring car. Right now I'm entertaining the idea of a Factory Team TC3 or the new "big brother" to my Micro, the RS4 Pro4. Any recomendations? Any arguments for other cars that I should perhaps consider as well?

What helps make the choice alittle easier is what cars your local racetrack / hobbystore stock parts for.

The TC3 or XXX-S are popular choices at many tracks. A few have just started running the PRO-4 where I race, and so far the results are great on both rubber and foam tires.

You should figure out where/if you are going to race, and you could base your decision on what's popular. If you do that, you'll have people that know about the car so they can help you out in a jam as well as give tips... you should also check for parts support in your area... if your LHS doesn't have parts and you have to drive to Timbuktu to get them...it may not be worth your time to have that ultra-exotic RC car...

Everybody has TC3 parts, and a lot of places have HPI parts...Losi, Corally, Tamiya, and Xray, while wonderful cars, have thin parts support at most Hobby shops

I have the DVD of the WC 2003 onroad 8th scale Cincenaty.

That Surikarn did enter the race as well but they did show the start of his WC electro touring with hit Tamiya, wow, that is amazing !!!!

I would say the PRO-4! But that's my preference

I think both cars are good!

But knowing that your lhs carries parts for the car you want should be a part of the scenario?

Speaking of the TC3...

Does the stock TC3 kit have any known problems or quirks, or is it pretty reliable straight out of the box? Looks like it has ball diffs front and back, are those pretty good? Can you tighten them up pretty well? What's a stealth ball diff? (I'm reading Tower's description of the kit below).

The TC3 is an awesome car, and even the basic Racer version performs with the best. The FT TC3 is the best deal if you are going to end up hopping it all anyways, although some things aren't need in the FT kit. The TC3 is extremely reliable out of the box, probably one of the most durable touring cars out. A few things: the transmission cases and the diff gears may grind, and it may crack. Many racers blueprint the cases and boil the parts. Also, you need to remove the motor out of the motor mount after you run it, because the heat will warp the stock chassis. Those are really the only 2 little problems with it, and if you aren't a hardcore racer, then they won't even really matter.
Hope this helps

hpidriver that is a good case you made for the tc3! I just recently got a tc3 and a xxx-s rtr. And am trying to decide which one to keep?
The tc3 turns out is an older version but it has most of the graphite parts, chassis arms, hubs, shock towers.
I'm really only using it for drifting at this time, and have run both cars and they both work well.

I was also thinking of selling both cars and getting a pro-4?
