Esc + Motor

I just bought a new 27t high torque motor and have found that it stalls once the es becomes very hot...I think its the failsafe to prtect from the heat.. Im looking at a mtroniks esc to go with the motor, but i do not know if it will work... Ill include the links to check both the motor and esc.... Any help is greately appreciated..Thx.

That esc is more then capable to handle that motor...its rated for 15turns and the motor is 27t....you should have no problems with the esc going into failsafe mode.

the esc i have in it now is onimuns old one... A LRP runner which says it can handle a 17-36 turn motor... After running my TLT for about 5 min it cuts out occasionally and the esc heatsink is extremly hot. The battery connectors are also hot.. I cant run it until the esc cools down or so i think.. ...Any ZThoughts???

That esc is old, it used to be in the rtr kits for Associated.......it could be just old and getting a newer esc should fix your problem....have'nt seen too many of those esc's around now. And have you seen the new Runner, its been shrunk down.
