Can you tell us more about the powerpack mentioned in another topic in this Xray forum ?
Xray will soon deliver a battery/ESC/motor combo for the M18, we are willing to know what products it contains.

It includes Xray Micro Speed Controller, Stock Motor with integrated capacitor printed board+cabel+plug, 5cell battery pack with plug, high quality micro servo with metal gears. All stuff are specially designed for M18, include all the best cable and plug configuration and is extremely easy to build and mound on the car. The only thing necessary to operate the car will be the radio and receiver. Also the price is very very interesting for this special M18 Power Pack. More information should be released soon including exact pricing.

1)will a micro servo be required?
2)What are the numbers on the stock motor?
(or top speed)
3)Is it terribly noisy like other shaft drives?
4)What body will it come with stock?
Thanks
Also, is there any formal release date?

1) No, but it is recommended. M18 is professional racing machine, so micro parts are recommended. The M18 Power Pack will include one of the smallest speedos exactly designed for M18.
2) Comparable with any other stock motors.
3) All parts are in Xray quality, that means that finish and precision of the gears are taken to the highest level, so the noise was recuded to the lowest minimum while keeping the highest performance, acceleration and long life.
4) Good looking one
There is no formal release date, but M18 will be definitely under every Xmas tree.

can't wait
man, i really can't wait to get this
it will be my first mirco so.. *whee* :-)
i'm wondering how big the esc will be on the power pack and if it's usable for a more powerfull setup.. also, if the powerpack will be able to do a 6 cell setup.. (guest we'll need a small mod to get the engine above the drive shaft?)

For the 6cells an optional chassis has to be used. You can be sure that any option part released from Xray is ready to use without any modifications, it has only the highest quality and traditional luxury Xray style.

The stock chassis is made of special composite mixture that is strong but flexible enough to provide the desired flexibility of the chassis for easy operation, however being fast enough to turn the best lap times. The batts will be on the top of the original chassis as the standard batteries suggest for racing (included also in M18 Power Pack) are battery packs and this is what most of the people will run. For PRO racing the optional graphite chassis will slot for the batteries.
