My MLST
Well after some debating on what micro off roader to get I finally decided to get the MLST!
It was between the Half8 and MLST. And I really don't think I could have been wrong either way!
I went with the MLST because I wanted something more of a basher and possible a racer to? And the Half8 is more of a racer than a basher.
For now it's stock and may stay that way for awhile. It's first run was onroad and it was quick but not as quick as my stock 18t. But that's to be expected since it is alot bigger!
The second run was off road and this is where this little truck certified that I made the right choice!!!!! It handles great, jumps great and is just a total blast! And it actually feels as quick as my 18t did off road! I guess because it does'nt get tossed around like the 18t.
Here's a couple of pics stock

I am using both the stock pack and a 2 cell 1320mah lipo pack! The lipo pack is nice improvement over the stock pack. Noticeably faster and great run times!
Getting some 12mm hex adapters for it and getting some new shoes for it! Probably a set of MT wheels and tires for bashing and a set of 2.2" Super Nitro wheels and buggy or rally tires!
I added a deans ultra plug to the esc and stock battery so I could run my lipo's.
Modded my stock wheels to use 3Racing alloy Half8 hexes. They are a little bigger than the stock MLST hex so I had to grind the wheel to get them to fit! It came out o.k. but most important it worked and I have a lot less wobble!
Planning to go brushless eventually, adding a mini-t ball diff and some other stuff down the line!
But I have to say I am really impressed with this truck as a basher straight out of the box!!!

Got a Half8 wing on my MLST!
Not the best spot for it but the only place I could get it on there.
Looking to see if I can find a better way to mount it?

Yeah I was going for that Stealth look!hehehe
MiniLSTGuy that's a bummer! I was'nt really sure which color I wanted but since big-kid had red and trd had blue I went with the green to be different! But have to say that I'm glad I did as it looks great in person!
Here's some pics of some tires I'm trying out on my MLST!
Mahalo to Ronbeck for sending me the tires to try out!

and a pic with some road hawgs!
The wheel adapters I am using are made by Hot Racing for the Half8.
They fit the axle perfect. The only issue is being how wide the mt wheels are around the hex, so the stock wheel nut only threads on about 3/4 of the way.
I have run the truck with the claw dawgs without foam inserts and have to say the truck is a blast to drive! It climbed up the grassy hill even better than stock! And handle the rocky road better to!
The stock motor and pack still had plenty of power to get these tires moving! And if I hit a bump just right it would lift the front wheels up and hold them there for about a foot.
The stock servo's had no problems either moving the big tires! And the drivetrain held up just fine!!!
Now to get a brushless!!!

Yeah the Claw Dawgs look better than I thought they would!
Well I took the leap into Brushless Power today!!!!!
Ordered a Hyperion 6K with the Mamba 25 esc from B-P-P!
Should be alot of fun when this thing gets here!
Most likely run it a little bit but probably stick to the stock motors/esc setup for my usual bashing around! At least that's what I'm telling myself now! Figure no sense letting the stock setup go to waste! And I do like it for bashing around my house!

Dual Hyperion 6K's!!!
Well I had a few hints in my previous post about this but I guess no one noticed or just figured it was a typo!
But this is what I've been working on with my MLST!!!
Yes you read right 'DUAL HYPERION 6K's'!!!!!
First off Much Mahalo's goes to big-kid for letting me borrow his mamba esc as well as his mamba link to setup the esc's!
The install was as easy as putting one in. I opted to mount the esc's in the battery holder with the 2 Thunder Power 2cell 1320 packs mounted on top of the battery holder with both 2way tape and a tie strap! Everything fit nicely under the body!
EDIT:
I cheated to hook up both esc to the receiver as I did'nt have a chance to go and get a 'y' connector for the esc's I just used the one for the servo's! And ran only one servo for the limited time. This is definitely not the way to go as the one servo can not turn the truck at all!!!
I only got to run it for about 2 minutes as one of the front wheels flew off and I lost the axle pin and wheel nut!
I thought I had killed the center diff, as I was giving it throttle and the 3 remaining wheels would hardly move! But when I got home and got the front wheel back on everything was working fine!!! I guess the diff was just unloading all the power to the axle without the wheel.
For the little run I had this thing is KRAZY!!! Holding it in my hand and giving it full throttle it would twist my hand! And this is with the lowest settings!
It would pull the front wheels up a little on the road, but it was a little rocky so not great traction.
I would have to say that I think a single hyperion 6k and 3 cell would be a cleaner setup and still be pretty dang fast! But like I said I had to try it!
I hope to get a little more run time with it later? And hopefully get a video of it in action!!!
Enjoy!
