Anybody runnin brushless micro RS4's

Why go 540 when you can go brushless. I'm running a 8000kv Mamba Castle ESC and 11.1 volt lipo YES 88,800 RPMs nothing will touch it But I am having trouble keeping the tires on the rims. Any suggestions?

It's pretty much the same effect as putting a top-fuel drag engine in a Yugo...

Try using "gorilla glue" on the tires. That stuff will repair concrete. You can find it at hardware stores...Good luck.

How does the spur gear hold up w/ brushless? Unless I kept on setting the gear mesh too loose or tight it would eat up a spur gear every few races. I think i went through about 3 of them over the course of 4 months?

I always figured it was just the metal pinion on the plastic spur.

With my 2 540s if I get the mesh wrong, it eats spurs. A friends 9 cell 1400 nimh 480 brushless is probably a little kinder to the spur.

As to the brushless vs 540 debate, it's an old one. quite a few of us have both. I can tell you that my 6 cell 2200mah, 11 turn 540 mrs4 is a great deal of fun to drive
