...Anyway, back to the subject: I purchased stock replacement parts to get it running again. I'd like to find carbon fiber in bulk sheets in order to make stronger plates and shock towers. It all depends on cost vs. buying them pre-made.

Yes I saw them...I really like the RC18 conversion...too bad I don't own one.

I may consider the Mini-T chassis later on...My concern would be holding the 7 cell packs I have...BTW, how's Saturday looking for you?

I'm not sure which part of the beach you live, but we could meet at Debbie's, if anything....I never drove their track before. If you know of a good driving location, let me know...I'm there.

Like I said in the other post, I have a public tennis court thats rarely used by me...Norfolk side. But we could meet at Debbie's and hash out future runs...Besides, I could always find something to spend money on there.

OK...Here's a weekend project. One-piece aluminum skid plate/chassis brace for my mini-t, along with an aluminum motor plate for the Orion Bigblock. I had previously re-drilled the stock plate, but the motor screws couldn't be accessed without removing the spur gear. This one works like a champ. (Thank goodness for Dremel tools!!)

I picked it up at Debbie's, off the K&S rack. I believe it's 3/32 thickness...pretty stiff. Next will be an upper brace for the front end.
