At Long Last.. Carnage!

Yes indeed, I finally managed to bash the guts out of a High Torque motor and toast a spur gear on Red.
(btw,@ Erock: those are TOPCAD rims and tires )

The motor must have got rock inside it. Heard a little grinding sound just before it started making a high pitched squeal. Threw in the backup and a fresh batt pack and continued on till..

This is only the second spur that got chewed(The first spur was drilled when I put the mamba setup in Black). Not surprising though considering all the chips and dings I put in the spurs before I got the sheilds perfected.

I will probably be changing out the gears in Black as well just to have a fresh one in it. I also thought I had a pebble issue with Black today, but turns out that only a pinion gear had come loose. Didn't lose the lock screw because the of the gravel sheild.

So.. Not really a whole lot of trouble considering how long I have been bashing these things. But alas.. the true carnage of the day was wrought by the one and only 'Half 8'..

I put the AON T2815-3002 back in it because the little mamba motor just doesn't have the torque to get the Mini Inferno moving off the line. Unfortunately, too much torque Forgot to hook up the computer and tone down the punch control on the esc ..Got the 'Tri-Fecta' this time, all three diffs are blown (front, center and rear).
So, I have a bit of maintenance and repair to do. I've also got about 160 megs of video to sort through of today's session. I'll post some up later if I manage to stay awake editing it all.

..cheers
