I personally dont think there is a need for Deans on your TLT with a 27T, especially if you arent using Deans already with all your other cars. Current drain isnt that high with a 27T and your not racing or anything anyways. Ive used plain old Tamiya plugs with a 17T motor and everything was fine. Plus if you change your ESC plugs to Deans... your warranty will be voided. Its good to have the warranty if you plan on going in water.

If you find youre not having enough torque with your 27T (ie the stalling you describe), you might want to look into a 55T lathe motor. Its under 20 bucks on Tower and you will have loads of torque and still good wheelspeed.
