Personally speaking a mamba will overheat IF you gear the car too high.
But mine's fast enough running on a 9 tooth pinion. I'm not going any larger.

Actaully it's held in posistion with double sided...

As for off roading she does not really "do" off road i compete in a "off road"...

just adding my 2cents. to diagnose this...
just adding my 2cents.
to diagnose this issue i would put a multimeter onto the third channel +/- outputs and read what the voltage drop is when you accelerate.
