if you only went thru the plastic of the gear...

if you only went thru the plastic of the gear cover at a few places (like i did) , then you can use epoxy to cover the holes and thicken up the plastic on the outside

well back on topic... of the 3 axles that i got which actually went thru the bearings, 2 of them had an amazing amount of slop.... this is the first time i used those losi jrx-s shims on my axles!!!...
