I had best luck with a worked over stock gear diff in the rear and a GH one-way bearing front diff, you need HPI steel dogbones up front to run a 1-way diff...

the chassis on your car #1 is an ARM pan, best chassis made for a mrs4 IMO.

I had much better luck with an ARM pan, slightly modified, than I had with any other, and I've used them all :)

You could use the servo, radio, and speed controller from the rustler on some micro r/c's, on others you may need to buy a new servo, which is a good idea anyways since the micro r/c's work better...
