Hello and welcome to the forum. The MRS4 uses a 180 size motor as stock. If you are looking for something larger, you can either go with a MRS4 "modified", a stock Losi mini-T (or baja) motor, or change the mounting plate to use a larger 300 size like the Orion Bigblock. It would be helpful to know what batteries you are currently using. One upgrade that is relatively inexpensive would be using 1400-1500 Mah NiMh cells. A 6-cell pack would would work directly with any "stock" electronics and motor, and would give you a noticeable improvement....Please post what motor, battery, and electronics you are using, and we'll be glad to help.
Again, welcome to the site. |

thanx guys
i am currently using 1400 and a 1500 battery but its totally stock apart from that as the 4 aa batteries wouldnt even get it to move properly could you point me in the right direction for a good motor and or motor plate and bigger motor cause i will end up buying for another car or something r/c is doing my head in at the minute ,i just put my nitro car back together and i couldnt find the charger for the glow charger and now that ive found the charger i cant find the glow charger lol |
The HPI 45T mod motor drops right into the stock MRS4 and makes a big difference. If you want to use the 4-cell AA stock battery holder then get some new 2650mAh NiMH cells from Staples. They are under $20 for a four pack here.
Going to a Speed 300 motor is another option but you will need a new motor plate and the car must be run at the 150mm setting only. Finding motor plates is getting harder these days but you can try eBay. |
