Battery Question

ORI13024 1600 Supercharge Micro Pack - 7.2V (Losi Mini-T, HPI Micro)

I just bought this battery and had a question. Is this considered a 6 cell battery? I have a Piranaha Peak 6 cell charger and wanted to make sure.

That is a 6-cell battery pack.

Run time?

What would be the run time with that battery, Spy ESC and the stock motor?

I am going to order a Micro soon, and I was considering that battery.

20 to 30 minutes perhaps depending on your gearing and how hard you run the car.

Do you have a link to that battery....whats the price.......URC and Blind also make exceptional batts without the cost of the TeamOrion sticker on the battery pack.

Linky

I'm getting all my gear from tower since I have a gift card from my wife and a coupon.

Here's the list so far:

Micro kit.
Two of the orion batteries.
Piranha charger.
Extra upper deck set for the second battery.
Drift tires (for fun)
Solid drive (for fun)
9t steel pinion.
Front universals
HPI mod motor
Novak Spy
Concours accessory set.
Sprinter Trueno body

I have a HPI radio that I took off of my Hellfire when i got the spektrum.
I am also going to run the HPI SF1 servo for a while, then i'll get a micro servo and the steering link kit.

Anything else you guys can think of that I should get off the bat?

It makes me grin thinking about the micro sitting next to the hellfire on the bench!

I've used the 11T steel HPI pinion with 4, 5 and 6-cell packs with good results on the stock motor. The 9 tooth may be a bit too small.

HiVoltg12 05-29-2007 01:19 PM

Good point. I'll get the 11T for the mod motor, and keep the stock pinion for use with the stock motor. I'm going to bash alot with the stock motor for the run time. I'm used to nitro, and haven't been into electrics for a few years, so the runtime is a big concern for me.

Maybe I should start a new thread!
