some pics of my rig

Wow this forum has slowed down a bit. Just want to share a few pics of my TLT-10 buil up.. Its not meant to be a crawler, just something to bash around with. It has a 12.5" wb, and 32mm tobee wideners. still need to put a few finishing touches, but for the most part its driveable and pretty fun as is. Let me know what you think.

Take a look at that thread for a crawler setup....

nascarlover2929 08-25-2006 09:44 PM

i didint see it on the thread and i was wondering howmuch modification it takes to put the maxx driveshafts in... and if that plus the 6/32 threaded links was all i need to stretch it a bit more...o and shocks..????? I didi read the thread and im trying not to spend too much money and just want a little more capability out of the truck

Is your car stock? If it is, this is a good place to start out at... (the tires are the most expensive thing)

http://www.ripper7racing.com/micros_...s/tlt1_pg1.htm

If you want to go 1/10th scale, the stock tranny isnt going to last you and youll needa new tranny...

nascarlover2929 08-26-2006 04:10 AM

this was the thing i was looking for ty very much.... I was looking at the parts for the mild stretch and found most of them except for the rs4 dogbones...they were all universal for the nitro but i found some for the electric...could u possibly check out the link and tell me if they would work...and i found some slipper pegs but the stock numbers were off...i own a traxxas t-maxx, tamiyta 1/10 electric onraod, miiwuake and mini -t, im looking for a nice rock krawler for a decent price and found this one and from previous posts have seen thatit doesnt have much ground clearance and for a bit of money id like to get more...Thx for the help everyone..:) :)

You might want to get some bigger tires... Those look a bit too small compared with the body.

nascarlover2929 08-26-2006 11:59 AM

Yea im thinking of popping some t-maxx tires on it...Its just the tires and wheel are really expensive....im a teenager with a budget...lol..oo and iw as aondeirng what size the shocks were to maybe replace them and get more travel out of them for rock crawling

Xtant3150c 08-26-2006 02:49 PM

Here are the dogbones http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLV96&P=7

I would just go with some 2.2" wheels with some Proline Mashers or if you want BIG tires checkout the IMEX All T's!!!

I'm pretty sure Maxx tires are not an option on the TLT axles.

The stock shocks work pretty good imo. They are not the greatest but not bad either. You can use Maxx shocks if you want a change.

But if you are on a budget I would say only replace parts that really need to be replaced. With the mild stretch the stock shocks are good enough.

Kool ...thx for all the help ...:) :) :)

pomme de terre 08-26-2006 04:02 PM

You need adapters to fit Maxx sized tires, but most run 2.2s and they are already good enough. With Maxx tires you will probably just end up breaking a lot of axles and for sure your stock tranny wont last.

2.2 rims with Masher 2ks are good for all around
