Net Zone is opening a new track for Micro RS4 and Mini Z. This is an indoor track, it is 40 feet long, 18 feet wide. Surface is Ozite carpet, facility is air conditioned, power outlets and refreshments. The track address is 1505 S. Riverside Ave, Rialto, CA 92376, Tel 909/877-2648. Opening date is August 26, 2003.

In the same facility we also have 36 PCs for PC gaming. So if you want to take out your aggression you can do it in Counter Strike!!!!, Diablo II, Warcraft or Battle Field all under one roof!!!!

Thanks

this sounds like the place that sumschmoe was helping to get set up.

do you by any chance have a recommended path for the fastest way to get there from ventura county?

I am not sure which way you comming from but it located 12 miles east of Ontario Mill. You will need to be on freeway 10 heading east pass I 15 for about 12 miles and exit at Riverside Ave then go north or right turn. You will pass Mc Donald on the right hand side. Turn right into Value Ctr, they localted in the left hand side plaza.

Hope this help, did you mention Star Craft? That will be comming soon.

I think I've found paradise! I'm in!!! Hey Micro Choady, I think I feel one of those mid week flus coming on...

So...when do we start racing??? Sounds like the perfect sized track for Micros without the need for insane hop-ups...not that insane hop ups are bad...:D

Hey,

All of you So Cal racers and Hobby People racers and....oh heck, all of you Micro racers out there, let's get down to this place and show it some support. Racing on Ozite is the equivalent of skiing on fresh powder, first tracks if you're a skiier, for the water ski set, think about those perfect mornings when you're the first boat on the water and the surface is glass, for the surfer the perfect left (or right) with a nice soft offshore breeze that rolls down an endless reef or point...All I can say is that racing on carpet is about the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

BTW, no affiliation to the track, I'd just hate to see a nice carpet track go to waste! For those who don't know me, my favorite racing of all is 4 cell 12th scale on carpet!:D

More like thank you for building the track! If you are to thank anybody, thank your Promotions Department...I think the Department Manager is Sumschmoe!!!:D

Seriously, no problem. Personally, I'll spread the word anywhere I can. I love racing these little cars and it's really nice that there is now a track built with them in mind. Most of us build these insane speed mini rockets to make it interesting to race on a "big" 10th scale track. People need to know that you can also scale down the track, slow down the car, and still have a blast! I set up a driveway track, 26x16 with 4 foot wide lanes. Perfect for a box stock car. (Micro Choady knows) The racing isn't all that fast, but the equality of the horsepower and tight line makes for some of the closest racing I've ever known. (And I've been at this for over 15 years.) You can be on somebody's bumper for lap after lap just waiting for a little break to get by. I really think your track will offer this kind of excitement. Wife and two kids will keep me form living there, but I'll be around!!!

:p I do what I can...which hasn't been a whol lot ver the past month! But seriuosly we need to get out to Mr. P's spot to make it worthwhile; I know that he invested sum $ and time to make this a reality, so I want to thank him for supporting the growing micro scene!!!Just think....we have ozite in So Cal especially for us....no sharing with the big boys!!!! Although I won't be able to make it until that weekend ( I get to spend the week with SED kids at camp...lucky me:rolleyes: ) I'm sure it's gonna be worth the wait!!!!

Ok we need to get MicroChoady moved into his new house so we can drag him away from Mrs Choady and the two little Ultramicrochoadies. Then we can make a massive attack on the Ozite. Trouble is, I think its my turn to drive.

12 miles East of Ontario Mill? That's half way to the east coast?

Havy/Hawk, we'd love to have you come on over for some racing!:D We'll all need to shoot for an organized event that offers Micro racing and all have a chance to meet and race. I was first thinking about the HPI Challenge in Vegas, but you need to sign up for 10th scale gas or electric before they let you sign up for Micro...and I don't have a 10th scale HPI car.:(

Me niether. Besides, I'd want to race in a brushless, 540, 400, Chiwawa, Krystal 3 class w/ 8 cells.

I wonder though, could 6 cells and an 8-9t pinion be a good combo w/ the Bl on carpet? Hmmm:rolleyes:

I would be willing to try it:D

But first I'd have to win the lotto, then you guys need to set up a national race invite. Shoot just make the race, I'd gather some money up somehow:p

heh that'd be pretty cool. Only problem is my 1/10th is offroad... well i might find a way.
If i do go anytime soon then I'll bring some spare plexiglass chassis's (well for two reasons, number one, if I snap mine, and number two, if anyone wants to buy a quickie pan.).
but yeah, that would be cool to go to cali, the place where its at. You guys have like 50 tracks sown there... and i only have this stupid overpriced lame asphault track.
I need to count my money...

The wife and I will be moving to South Pasadena in about two weeks, and it looks like that track is only an hour away from South Pasadena. I finally get to race my micro, woohoo!

Intelligentsia
08-22-2003, 02:25 AM
So then you will also be able to race at SoCal?

slasher

Looks like Huntington Beach is only 40 miles from South Pasadena, thats closer than the other track (50 miles). So, yes, I'll be going to SoCal, too.

So what do we want to run here guys? I think the 6 cell/300 motored rockets might be a handful on a 40x18 layout. I guess we just have to get down there and do some experimenting!:D Maybe I'll set-up another car for this track!

Thats the setup I have. :) I may need some help tuning my car once I move down to South Pasadena. I'm new to r/c racing.

6cell/300 might be a little quick for a 40x18 foot layout, but I'm game!!!:D How about 4 or 5 cell and an 8 minute heat!!!
