I have seen this purple little belt tensioner on some micros' with graphite chassis. It looks like a GPM part? Does anyone know where to get thoses thing, I have looked at all the normal micro store and no one seems to know about. Please info me about this part if you have any knowledge of it. Thanx, :)

You can find them on Ebay. They only come with the graphite upper deck though, so you will have to buy the whole upper deck.

In one of the RCCA issues they show you how to make one, but it is plastic

anybody ever thought of this one????? there is a company called WOLF PACK RADICALS that sells all kinds of 1/10 scale car belt tensioners in all kinds of colors and i'm sure if you looked hard enough you could find one that would be small enough and would fit ....
just a thought oh yeah one last thing HPI also makes a ton of tensioners that may work but you may have to use a smaller bearing

I don't understand why you guys think you need a belt tensioner. Is your belt truely skipping? I'm not pounding on anybody here, but does everybody know that applying resistance to the drive train is going to rob you of horsepower? I merely run a bearing where the guide goes and my car is fine and fast.

i said i probably need one for my special project

wich will be a real rear suspension instead of a flexing chassis

so if the rear pod as lots of travel i will be needing one, but if it doesen,t have too much travel like the chassis they currently sell i wont be needing one

but im with u on that one woody, y do you guys need one if your using the chassis out there

if u don,t have special needs like me:D

Yeah, like I said, I'm not bashing on anybody. I'm just trying to figure out why, and then maybe I can help you guys better

when did i say its a big secret?lol

im just gona refine the current rear supension by the removing the rear chassis flex and making it a live axle, and its very simple to do, i will show pics when i will have all my stuff ready to build it
