Here's my first Micro paint job. The one thing that the picture doesn't show is that the paint (blue and purple) are metallic and pearlescent. I'm sure in the near future I'll be posting some more paint jobs that include the new ALCLAD II chrome paint. So look forward to those!

Here's a quick tip for you guys that don't know what to do with your antennas! Since everyone I know likes the clean "no antenna" look, we just run the antenna wire around the 4 body posts. This way you don't have to drill the hole for the antenna and you don't have add more weight to your car by putting in something to wrap the wire around!

Enjoy

it could be like this
http://hpiracing.com/graphics/new/beetlecupmicro/DSCN9282k.jpg only shinnier. then you get the chrome wheels and paint the lexan antenna chrome.

I just used the Alclad Chrome last night. We used it on my sons Viper 1/10 body, as a window tint, of all things All I can say is WOW!!!
That Chrome looks great! Here are a few tips for spraying it:
1) Several very light coats, sprayed with a different pattern each time, ie Front to back then left to right. 2) Take your time. 3) [This may seem weird] Back it with BLACK. It really shines!

I want to try a fade with the Chrome going to Fastchange Blue. It should look like a Chrome header pipe right where it comes off the engine block.

I am not too fond of the Beetle, it just doesn't have the appeal of the original. Sorry, it's just my age. Once you've owned a 1959, split window, nothing is quite as good.
That said, an all Chrome beetle would look really cool, a lot like some of the space craft seen in Star Wars episode One.

TGRupert, I'm still not sure which one I should get.

The beetle or the stratus...

Wouldn't it be cool to make a Tom Green's dad "slut mobile" with XXX main glue?

TGRupert, have you seen the article in the may RCCA issue of how to put pictures in the body? They did a Brittany Spears one :D ....
