Remove the small diff gears from the rear diff, that should work. The rear axle will then not be powered.

ok cool! i want to do that also but wat surface did u drive it on? cuz when drove my micro on RWD on vinyl surface it juss steered to the right and there was too much power on the rear wheels. so is it like this or way better grip on the road?

it is not the fastest but at top speed it has very bad handling.

i got one for you guys to try...............i took out the belt and the whole front diff and and dogbones so just the wheels are attached with no belt, so its rwd with hard foams in the back and soft up front and a speed 300 5 cells all on finished hardwood flooring, talk about burning out and drifting its rediculous. hit full throttle in reverse then go back about 5 feet and go full throttle forward and you can litterally just sit there with the foams spinning for about 5 seconds until they catch and then you fly for about 5 feet and sping out.

but driving it on low pile carpeting in a straight line this thing has amazing speed.

There is a lot that you can adjust on the micro and buy hop-ups for it and make it look way different.

Yeah the AE micro is a shaft drive

My question why a FWD only car? Rear is so much better......no real race car is FWD only!! I think you will never get that thing to handle worth a poop......gotta be mad torque steer

If the micro was meant to be FWD or RWD then it wouldn't have been designed to be 4WD.

Getting the micro to handle right with FWD would be possible if the caster up front was negative. Right now it's positive which is suitable for RWD/4WD.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then read here...

caster angle basics (http://www.rctek.com/handling/caster_angle_basics.html)

caster angle effects (http://www.rctek.com/handling/caster_angle_advanced.html)

adjusting caster angles (http://www.rctek.com/handling/caster_angle_adjusting.html) although there's no easy way to adjust caster on the micro, maybe you could heat up the a-arms and bend them. Just a thought, do it at your own risk! :p

how caster angle effects camber angles (http://www.rctek.com/handling/caster_angle_camber_change.html)

I tried Fwd like he said, RWD took the belt out, 3WD one of my dogbones broke fixed it already. If you wanna be a drifter go with 3WD. Go full force it will spin out like crazy. I lifted the front wheels off the ground with RWD try to place all the electronics on the rear and nothing on the front.
