turbo cloud i have a Bolink charge cord that i got with last year, its made for charging r/c batterys but is not a trickle charger or anything, its pretty much just 2 wires and a connector. You hook it upto a car battery and it takes around 15 minutes for a 6 cell 1600mah nicd battery. ive got the package and everything

Here's some quick photos I took tonite in the house. I will try and get outside tomorrow and take some better ones in the light. The tires in the pics are the stock tires on the grey wheels. My normal dynamite soft rear / stock fronts are on 5 spoke white wheels.

Okay I got new pictures up now that were taken today. I changed my setup slightly. I took the car out this morning to test my setup and noticed my steering wasn't quite right. I realized my servo was not correctly placed. Well I ended up moving the servo a bit left and forward. In doing this I gained enough room to drop the ESC from the top deck to the bottom deck. It now sits behind the battery and just in front of the motor. Although it looks tight, there is ample room for rear suspension travel. SO now everything is on my bottom deck, except for my reciever. The nice thing about doing this on a standard width chassis is I have significantly lowered my center of gravity along with keeping a very good center mass. Here's the link again:

Just click on the Micro RS4 folder, or look at the other folders if you want.

02-24-2002, 11:32 PM
hey arthiums what are the bearing size you use for the belt guides?

armithius
02-24-2002, 11:38 PM
Okay here's the deal with those, I started a huge flame war on the old board over these. They are simply cool factor and have no real advantage over the stock guides. That said, they are Duratrax 3x6 mm bearings, part number 1503 and they cost $3.99 a pair. I happened to be placing an order with Towerhobbies and had an extra $4, so I got them.

xxtcrgp
02-24-2002, 11:51 PM
grrrr, everybody has been saying 2x6 or 3x6, which one is it??

armithius
02-25-2002, 12:26 AM
I'll end your debate, I bought both the 3x6 and the 2x6 bearings because I had heard both. I can tell you its definetly the 3x6 bearings. Where people are getting confused is that the 3 is the inside diameter and 6 is the outside diameter. The actual width of the 3x6 bearings are like 2.3mm or so.

my setup is as follows:

orion elite modified motor
orion 7.2 v battery pack
orion flash esc
airtronics radio

thats it for now but i plan to do the entire chassis via team orion. i chose them because all of their hopups will be lightweight alloy and the color is like a gunmetal grey. its the only manufacturer that i know of that makes that color.
