Where can you get a good,cheap brushless motor for the micro?

There is no such thing as cheap brushless motor.
they are all at least 70 for a new brushless motor.
And after you get the motor you have to get the controller also.
which is also big bucks.

You will probably spend more around $200 for a brushless set (motor and ESC). For that price you could purchase 20 Speed 300s.

you could get a astro brushless which are 99 bucks but are pretty slow, oh ya and that comes with a esc

The ESC for the Astro is useless.
its on / off throttle with no brakes.

I don't recommend getting it.
there are much better motors for less.

what type of set up would you need for gears and stuff i know it would haul butte

Not sure about the Question.
But i use the stock gears and just modified the motor mount abit.
