The front end of the Scalpel looks very similar to a Corally SP12M.

i know!!! if this were the rtr version it would be the best racing rtr EVER!!! throw in a modified 370 or something... i wonder if someone would be kind enough to design a 540 conversion for this lil sucker!!!

i know that 12th pan cars spin out a lot... wonder if this will suffer from the samew.. and since they dont hve a scale class at my track for one of these.. i wonder if i could race one with a mamba along side the 10th scales.. and taking it to a nitro track might run me out of there. too fast for them to keep up with..

but the 540 motor might keep the rear stable and planted... im in if it comes out here

They don't spin out a lot when they are set up properly and do not have chassis tweak.

I like the fact that you can put the electronics on each side of the chassis. Does anyone know what that thing is on top of the servo....could it be the switch.

Yes, it is probably the switch for the esc.

I think it is a Lap-Z transponder

By taking another look i also agree, too me it looked like a switch for the esc and now that you mention that that might just be it.
