Ok so i'm finally getting the feel for my new rc18t. It's still stock except for the deans that i put into it. But after about 2 and a half packs through it my friggin tires are BALD. And when i say bald i mean Race slicks. But anyways earlier today my rc18t started sounding like an impact wrench. So i thought this was the time when i had pushed my diffs too far, and i either really needed shims, or i completely killed the diffs. So i took it inside and got tinkering and come to findout, there was a friggin grain of sand stuck in the spur gear. I never knew a single grain of sand could cause so much annoyance. So thats all fixed now:D . But i still have that faint click because of not having the diff shims. Anybody know where to get these shims? My lhs dosn't stock them.
Sincerely,
stik

My lhs has these for 160 + tax, is this worth it? AE Aluminum Parts Package (http://www.teamassociated.com/newprod/2005/21240_billet.18t.htm)

Glad your enjoying your truck!

Yeah it's amazing how a tiny pebble can do in the right place!

You can find the shims on ebay or tower hobbies.

That's not a bad price for the aluminum kit. I have seen them on ebay billet kit (http://cgi.ebay.com/RC18T-FACTORY-TEAM-BILLET-ALUMINUM-UPGRADE-KIT_W0QQitemZ5977016232QQcategoryZ34063QQssPageNam eZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Well if you have an extra set of diff halves then you can use those add one to the front and the other to the rear....:p

when i get home from florida (been here for a week at my grandfathers house) i'll place an order at towerhobbies for the shims. One thing to try for everyone that i thought would give great practice on jumping is, today i took my box that it came in and just laid open the lid all the way, and then used it as a jump:D . It sounds a little redneck but it works!!!:p Well thankyou guys for all your input and help!!!;)
Sincerely,
stik
