I feel the Chassis it self is well done. the aluminum parts could have been finished better.

The rigidity of this chassis is amazing. It should be A leaps and bounds improvement over the stock job.

I'm still a few days away from final fit and finish of the beast, i'll post and let you guys know what i think once i've finished and have a few runs under my belt.

Mine's arrived and installed too.
I have a few concerns about the product.

The supplied screws were just wrong, I used XRay M18 screws in place of the cut down Holeshot supplied screws

The aluminum parts do leave a lot to be desired, especially the motor mount.

The battery holder is a joke, I had to shim the allen caps that hold the body clips up with washers to make them line up and be tight at the same time..

I couldn't believe the sparse amount of Velcro they supplied and how badly (skew) it was cut.
I will use XRay M18 battery retainers instead of Velcro to stop the cells moving sideways. The Holeshot battery brace isn't too bad and should hold the battery down nicely :)

if you notice i used all of my own screws... I'm debating mocking up one of these in 7075. with the kick and all
I might even make it more like a buggy and have the main middle chassis alum, and the sides composite.

( i hear wheels turning)

Looks pretty good.

I hear ya on the aluminum finish.

I know a guy who bought one of their first chassis and he had a heck of time putting it together because the fit and finish was so bad! They have improved somewhat.

Your idea sounds good with alloy center chassis with composite side plates!

Hope to see it come to life one day!

Would be nice to see someone make a stronger top brace to?

Hey Chris instead of using a Zip tie to hold your Rx i use Shoo Goo....stronger then foam tape and the hold will last.....its easier to clean and take off when the RX or ESC has been pulled off....and plus Shoo Goo doesnt loose its bond over time like Double sided foam tape does.

Still a nice chassis by the way...:D

MIP servo tape. Simply the best I've used. Plus, when it's time to take it off, it comes off CLEANLY. Shoo Goo's just as good, plus you get a buzz after a while. :D

Hey, did you guys have to cut out the plastic support piece in front of the spur gear? I forget what it's called, but did Holeshot finally throw in a new delrin piece?
