Made some wings for my RC18 truck bodies. Used some thin metal that was cut, dremeled and mounted to the lid. They came out okay, and i'm finishing up a buggy style wing for my Baja Bug lid. Having a hard time finding a suitable mount for it. Very easy to accomplish. Let me know if you have any questions:cool:

Love the rear wing, Big-Kid. I also hate the fact that the 18t stock bod didnt come with a wing, just been too busy to put one on there. Nice work on the wing came out nice.:D

Thanks guys:D .

I'm thankfull I live here. I do wish my order's didn't take 6-7 days to get here thru the Post Office! They seem to be a couple days slower ever since the beggining of the year? Maybe it's just me:rolleyes:

I know in race cars a rear wing is added to give some downforce and put more traction on the rear tires (which usually are the ones transmitting power to the ground). I guess this could be the same. Big Kid have you noticed any difference in handling? I don't know much about aerodynamics with RC cars so it may not do anything. If nothing else the wing just looks really cool. Given me some ideas for one of my own. Thanks.

Sorry, not that i've really noticed:rolleyes: . I don't have that much insight to those things either, but I know on real cars they do make a difference with the drag racers and other race cars. The on-road R/C guy's say they notice the effects of the different style's and size's, and I hear for racing they have rules for it as well. I am working on the "buggy" style wing. It should hopefully be done in a day or two:cool:

Hey man it was nice talking to you, will i got the rear ball diff working properly and now i know why people put shims there, the rear ball diff and the mesh between the gear and driveshaft gear has some play, thats why i heard a grinding noise coming from the rear. Well here's what i did i took my ball diff apart and added another diff half on the gear side to close up the loose mesh between the shaft gear and the diff gear. WoW, now the 18t doesnt skip teeth in the gears and the mesh is properly set.

lol i would take pics but that means i would have to take the ball diff apart. If you really want to see pics man then i will do it. Its better to see it with your own eyes then to take someone's word for it.

Got the Bug wing done at last:rolleyes: . It turned out ALOT heavier than I thought, but not too bad. It was alot more involved than I expected also.

Thanks guy's:D It took a bit of effort to get this done, but it turned out okay. Something like the truck wings would've been so muck more simple, but then what's the fun right:rolleyes:

It's actually not thet hard to do, just take your time so the metal doesn't get to twisted. Then if I had the capability to weld, that would eliminate the screws which contribute alot of weight. I took the "design" from the XB8, but the B4 wing looked pretty good too:cool:

Keep the screws in man, they give it that one of a kind look. Have you ran the 18t today. How well does the wing hold up during tumbles, and cartwheels.

Too much rain today. Hopefully tomorrow's sunny and it'll get dirty. If not, i'm going to give the covered garge at work a buzz in street mode:cool:

Why dont you use water balloons for the esc and rx and have some fun in the water man. Do that sometimes when it rains over here but cleaning up the 18t then becomes a hassle.:D
