Im starting to look at choices for my first car. Out of these 3 so far, what would you choose?

Volkswagen GTI
Subaru WRX Impreza
MINI Cooper S?

MINI Cooper S! They handle very well and they are supercharged. Also they are new and have a TON of features. With all the cool features and option packages you can build one for about $24,000. Not only that, not alot of people have them.

Oh yeah in case you didn't know, I love the MINI Cooper S.

mini cooper all the way. it would have to have a mask for the roof.

Get a British flag or checkered pattern on the roof! I went to the MINI dealership a week back, those cars are awesome. They had the exact MINI Cooper S I want. Electric blue, leather, white roof/mirrors, and a British flag on the top, not to mention white bonnet stripes.

Two days ago I saw an original MINI Cooper (the old ones) that was British Racing Green, had white bonnet stripes, a white roof, and had huge rally fogs in the front. Needless to say it was very awesome looking.

when I say roof mask I mean I want a simple mask so it can be painted white or black. also bonnet stripe masks would be cool.

I think he is talking full scale. Unless you mean full scale as well which just means I am confused.

My first car was a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere, my second is a 1969 Buick Skylark and I am only 17! I am a huge fan of classic cars and this summer I hope to get my Skylark completed. A friend of our family owns a body shop and will be painting it a metallic lime green with GM stripes on the hood and trunk, they will be surrounded by pinstripes. I can't wait!

I thought he ment the first car body he was going to make. mini's RULE!

1. When I test drove it was going 90 in forth gear.
2. There are 6 gears.
3. Even the non s has 6 gears.
4. It has a huge tach directly over the stearing wheel.
5. the S has 80 mile flat proof wheels.
6. if you get the white roof the bird **** blends in.
7. best fake leather in any car I've ever been inbside
8. If you can't get laid with a mini there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with you.
9.gotta love that wide wheel base for such a small car (handles like a go cart)
10. you can fit into all those half parking spots left by all the hummers.
*edit*
I forgot to mention you could always go for that retro rally look and add like 90 lights to the grill.

Let this be evidince to ALL there are rednecks in other places that the SOUTH. See us folks in the south are the only ones who like shiny things.....lol jk HO502cid..I'm not callin you a redneck. But while I am on this topic, anyone here ever heard of Jeff Foxworthy?

Thats not cool man, I don't see why my appreciation for old cars even makes me open for any sort of redneck joke. Maybe you should learn to enjoy American history and the growth of the automobile industry. I think you need to go check out a book on the muscle car era.

p.s. That "lol jk HO502cid..I'm not callin you a redneck." meant nothing to me, you already implied it and the damage is done. Sorry to burst you bubble but some people don't appreciate comments like that.

Sorry man, It just reminded me of this car I saw the other day that had this funky glitter finish and left a cloud of smoke about a block long (literally)...I do appreciate classis/muscle cars alot, my bro has a really nice 1965 mustang...sorry :(

Apology accepted. Make sure you think about whether someone would be offended by something before posting. Little things like that "erk" me because I believe as a teenager who has an appreciation for something so "American" I should get slightly more respect than I just recieved now. My car will not have a funky glitter finish nor will it leave smoke a block long behind it, it will be a well done car with a well tuned engine.

ZeroSanity, get the Mini, S if possible. My first car? Shelby Dodge Daytona turbo Z. Current car? Toyota MR-S. Btw, that's quite a large budget you're looking at for a first car! :D

I hear ya jw_j, I have a license, but I prefer not to drive if I don't need to. I used to have a couple gokarts and thought that driving cars would be as fun as driving the karts. I can't even speed in my area and driving 75 on the freeway is like trying not to scare your grandma in the passenger seat. My area is full of damn cops(there are 3 on my block) and thay have nice cars... I guess it's cause they know they can get away with speeding.

Oh yeah, my first car? A second hand 86 VW Jetta. I'm not as lucky as some of you, but at least I'm rally worthy:)
