Well i have been working. The read tires need re-glueing and more BBs in them. They need painting like the front ones. I also need to put the pede tranny in once its done being re-geared(super low ratio). I need to pick up my wheel widners at the hobby store this weekend(1/4 inch wider on each tire), and i need to finish mounting my body. But so far this is the scaleish look i was going for...let me know if you think it looks scale crawler enough or how i could make it look better...or if you just flat out love it or hate it. Thanks alot!

Looking really good. Looks like it's going to be similar size to mine :D

Here are some updated pictures of my truck. I'm still waiting for the hex adapters to come back into stock so I can use my new T-Maxx wheels and tires, which looks to be another week or so.

My new dimensions are"

18.75" long
13" wheelbase
12" width
4" center clearance

Well, to lengthen it a little more I had to do several things actually.

The first thing that needed to happen was lengthening the Traxxas sliders. The stock Stampede sliders are only long enough for about an 11.5" wheelbase.

So to lengthen the sliders I actually took the outter houseing of two sliders and slid a brass tube over the two of them (one was shortened just a little). Then to lock them in place I took 4/40 screws and ran two through the one closest to the axle, one through the end of the one the slider goes into, then two screws in the end where the slider enters the housing. The two on the end where the sliders enter were tightened to where they just touched the slider, then backed out 1 turn so it could move in and out of the housing.

I then dremeled off the screws and grinded them down so they were smooth with the brass housing. I then took a slightly bigger brass tube and slid it over the first brass tube to lock everything in place. The fit was so tight that it actually put some friction into the slider, but it's breaking in quite nicely now.

This almost doubled the length of the slider assembly.

Here is a pic of the sliders now with my new skid plate:

The other thing I did was re-locate my axle link locations. I moved my links up from the bottom of the axle to the side of the axle.

this allowed me to use T-Maxx turnbuckels and get the longer length. The lower lings are 106mm and the upper are 116mm links.

Moving the lower link bracket to the side of the axle extended the wheelbase about .75"

Here are pics of the new link locations:

Moving the links also gave me more axle clearance for rockcrawling.

Overall, it was fairly labor intensive, but the results are well worth it

Im using those same links, and i got 11.5 wheel base. I guess its your custom chassis that gets u the extra length. But thats so much for the help. Hopefuly soon you will see pritty much a exact replica of your amazing TLT...except a little better;)
