I hade a TLT for like 3 months with a stampede tranny but it wasnt a stock TLT chassis. I know you can mount one in the TLT chassis but how? is it more trouble than its worth?

wow thats amazing, thanks so much. I might order me some of them. I like the stampede tranny bc of the lower final gear ratio...but this looks sooo much easyer.:D

do you have to drill some new holes in the chassis plates to place the Stampede gear case??

You will have to at a minimum drill holes to mount the tranny to the chassis. The pede tranny however is just a little wider than the stock tranny, and will generally require a little dremeling of the stock chassis.

When I dropped one in my truck I put it in the stock chassis. I wanted it centered in the truck, so I had to dremel a lot out of the side of the chassis.

After completing the first install, I just decided to build a new chassis that's based on the stock chassis. This worked out much better and I'm happy with the results.
