Pinion adaptor to run a 540 size pinion on a micro size motor

when you say '540 pinions' I assume you mean like on 10th scale cars. I heard that theres a difference between 'our' 48 pitch and 'theirs', know anything about that ??

Yes thats what I mean by a 540 pinion (1/8th inch shaft) and the regular 48 pitch is a perfect fit.

I make the adaptors thats why I threw that in there.

It allows me to run gears that just arent available for the micro size motors like a 15, 16, 18, 20. I have the quietest car on the track too btw.

Hey Pat what would be the best size pinion for a stock motor 6 cell set up with the stock spur?

I am currently running the 17t pinion?

Oh yeah my top 5

Alloy motor mount/heat sink
42t spur
2.5 degree rear toe linkage
Alloy pinions

Can't think of anything else I would need!:D

Let me know how I can get the pinion adapters from you.

Thanks

Top 5:

Front one-way diff
6 deg front arms
Alum motor mount
42 tooth spur
48 tooth, 540 motor pinion set w/ adapters
IDP 6-cell chassis

Intelligentsia - I dont have your email address to email you, email me

Xtant3150c - I dont like over taxing the stock motor, let it breath and it seems to work better for me atleast so I say a 15 or 16, maybe a 17 on a big track.

LucidRadical - you can get an adaptor by emailing me

Here is the link where I posted them on the "Micro Market" forum
