Just wondering if anyone has put a brushless 540 setup in their 540 chassis yet??? sounds insane, but really cool probably hit 60mph really easy heh? :D

if i can get my hands on a 540 conversion, i would be more than happy to answerthat for you. i got a brushless in my tc3 and it dyno'd at 50mph, got a associated l3t that dyno'd at 78mph, so i would expect the micro to hit mid 70's to low 80's. i don't expect there to be much more than about 20% loss due to friction from the numbers i have, so imagine a micro could hit way up there , but wouldnt expect it to be very driveable.

LOL, mine wasn't very controlable at that speed.

At that speed the air friction increases very quickly, low 70's i could see low 80's i'm not so sure, the other factor in this equation is traction. your tires can only produce so much grip, start putting enough power on them and you'll find it's very easy to exceed the maxium amount of grip they can produce. the last and final part of this question is "will a 540 brushless motor fit in my 540 conversion kit?" to which the answer is Probably not. Reason being is the 540 brushless motor can is ever so slightly longer (how's that for an exact measurement :) ) than a normal 540 can. that amount happens to be just enough to get in the way of the wheel.

Ps i think some guy put a non 540 brushless in one of our kits and said he was having a blast. i'll have to try and find the guys email addy.

why would traction be a problem? I think i read in RCCA mag that they ran 1/12 scale and hit 100mph on a race track though and I dont think they mentioned traction problems, but getting up to speed problems. :)

drivers side almost rubs with motor endbell, no space for widening:(
