Just ordered my micro from http://www.microrcshop.com (got a very good deal too), and this forum helped me decide to go with micro instead of mini. My question is: the Ratzas pan chassis looks really cool. What other aftermarket parts do I need to run that chassis? Like, can I use the stock battery holder, etc. (I want to be able to upgrade one thing at a time, that way my wife might not notice, hehe). Thanks.

The chassis works with all the stock parts so you don't have to buy anything else.

Buy yourself some 2-56 ball ends and cups so you can mount the servo to the side. You can then mount your transponder on the other side with no problem.

If you are going to go with the RatZas pan. Don't use the stock battery holder. Order the racer top deck which will shave a bit of weight instead of the replacement.(some guys run a pan chassis without any top deck at all)
The design of the pan chassis is to be able to mount everything on the pan, lower the CG and give you better handling.
Try to get the wife involved it may make it easier or it could be worse. LOL

I haven't actually ordered the Ratzas chassis yet. I'm interested in it mostly because I'm worried that my electronics won't fit on the stock chassis/upper deck. I'd like to get other stuff too (like the shock), but I have to get it one piece at a time (like Johnny Cash!), or my wife WILL kill me.

What are the chances of my old Novak Rooster and standard size futaba receiver and servo fitting in a completely stock micro? With the corvette body? Hell, will they even fit with the pan chassis? (I have a smaller ESC, but I don't want to take it from my xxxt)

Your set up will fit into the stock car. You'll just need to mount your transponder for racing on the back deck.

i saw a picture of somone who mounted it on the nosew of the viper. If the finish line is in the middle to the end of the line the put it in the back so you can get to your top speed (or close to it)
