If you haven't already done it.....GET RID OF THEM!!!!!!!! Especially if you've got mod motor. I've got the Orion Elite. Just by getting rid of the tamiya connectors and running the motor wires from the ESC directly to the motor, NO CONNECTORS. It seems like I picked up about 40% more punch.

i thought about doing the same,but my stock class states the connectors have to stay.

My friends have the deans connectors from their rebbels made a unvirsal connector of the red battery conncector and i have a speed control that came compadable with the micro ES-01

Yeah, the Tamiya connectors have a lot of resistance. I'm running Deans Ultra Plugs on all my connections and I think that I noticed an increase in speed. I also ran 14 gauge wire on both my Speed 300 and HPI mod motors for less resistance.

I'm using 20guage wires now and the original battery connector....and I tried deans before and16g wire.....
I think the gain the performance or speed is same...
probably i just don't notice it...:o

i also soldered my esc directly to my elite mod. it seemed a little faster, probably enough to gear it down one and still get the same top speed as before.

why do some people solder their batteries drictly to the esc how do you charge that? It just seems wierd

you just use aligator clips and clip it to a bent battery bar

before you charge the batt...make sure you turn off the ESC...:D
