After taking apart a brushless computer fan i found that it works with a brushless motor. The fan only cost $18.99 too. It is not the smallest thing in the world (about 1x1 inch circlular board) but its really flat so it can just lay on the rear deck over the motor! This is a good solution if you are on a budget or maybe a backup when you are racing.

I'm kinda curious how it turned out to be good.

Computer fans generally run at 12V (there are 5V fans that run the same speed, but take more amps to do it...and you can't find them by wandering into a computer store).

Also, computer fans generally only run about 5000 RPMs. And thats with a GOOD fan. I have one in my case that only does 4500RPM at most.

i thought that computer fans were coreless, not brushless

hey guys, I just went to a electronics store and found out that they have some fan that is so small, its about 23mm x 23mm...

Next time when I go there again, I will buy one and take a picture for you guys...

If you are using a 5V fan and are running (which I doubt for most of you) a 3 channel reciever, you can plug the fan into the 3rd channel spot on the receiver which gives the fan power but no signal.
