After seeing that Big6 in the other thread, it really got me thinking again about wanting to build an Ofna 1/8 4wd buggy. I'd just want it for zooming around my backyard or up at my parents home (they have 40+ acres).
Anyone have experience with them? Are they as fun as they look? I would also probably build a second suspension (lower) and get some street slicks and a road-ish body for banging around a parking lot, too. Is that feasible?
Opinions?

I would strongly recommend you look into the hyper 7 also the 9.5 is a good model to go with; however if it was my money it would be kyosho 100%.

I love Kyosho too (hell, I've owned TONS of them in most every scale), but the 1/8 Kyoshos are hella more expensive. There's an Ofna RTR that's only about $390 or so, including pit equipment and a radio. Here's a link:

What do you think?

469.00 rtr that what i bought then upgraded to pro specs.
it is built like a tank stock rtr i mean solid as a rock i'm in the process of looking for a diff engine but if your looking for an ofna i can see if i can get you a deal on kit or rtr.
If you want a cheap buggt, Ultimate Hobbies has the GT LX RTR for $260. It's a great bashing buggy!

I strongly doubt I will EVER race it. I just want something super durable to pound the backyard with. I'd like a top speed of around 40+, and enough grunt and traction to blast through some tall grass. I like the idea of 1/8 scale for it's track and wheelbase, not to mention it's power.
I did see an Ofna GT LX something or other that came with a .25 motor. Worth the upgrade from the .21?

well i have a .25 in one of my t-maxxes and one sitting to go in my buggy the stock 9.5 goes 40 and will grunt through whatever you want fly through now the .25 will rip and shoot hella rooster tails
