hello,

i just perchased my 1st rc a baja minit. i keep reading about how much more power an rc could make with lipo batteries and i was wondering if i could use them in my stock baja or would i have to modified any thing else to make them work. thankyou ahead for any help that anyone can give me.thanks

The manual should say what the ESC can handle.

LiPO batteries don't neccessarily amount to more power, but they will deliver more consistent power and in many cases longer runtimes.

But to answer your question - YES, the stock esc will handle a LiPO battery as long as its voltage doesn't exceed that of a normal 6-cell NiMH pack. If it's a 2S LiPO it's voltage should be 7.4 volts, which is similar to the 7.2 volts of a stock 6-cell pack. But if it's a 3S 11.1V pack you're asking for trouble.
