hi all,was wondering if anyone could help,i have just put a micro rx in my micro rs4 and also have a personal transponder pluged into the third channel,i have just got the rx voltage protector and was wondering if i can plug this into the battery slot or does it have to go in one of the 3 channels via a "y" lead ?this is what the site says
Spektrum's new Voltage Protector prevents a DSM™ receiver's voltage from dropping below the proper operating level in lower voltage applications such as 4-cell 1/12 carpet racers. Installation is as simple as plugging it into an open channel slot on the receiver unit.

Why did you buy one man, i have a couple of those made up for members here, i could've saved you some money...........all you have to do is plug that into any open channel......whether it be the battery slot or another open slot....any slot on the rx thats open will do.

thanks alf,had a weird problem, with the normal rx after i had run a race i would flip the switch to turn car off and the mamba would light up red, then unplug battery,no probs just as it should be BUT when i use the micro rx,as soon as i turn the car off the motor runs at a slow speed for about 6 sec's then the esc would go into fail safe and the motor stops,
i dont get it,and neither did the local model shop:rolleyes: so i just got one to see if it made a difference.
did i see somewhere that you can also use these in line with the battery or motor so it doe's not lose power in corners or something ?

They stand for nanofarads and microfarads, of course when you look at capacitors your looking for the Mf which is a lot bigger then nano. Now as for your problem with the radio and esc, you might need to bind the radio to the rx over again......the motor should'nt be running when you turn everything off.

.....and the next time you bind it, hold 1/8 to 1/4 brake in it, as you bind it.

i have tried that a few times now and it makes no difference:confused:
like i said it works fine with the 3000 rx its just the micro rx and straight away i thought it must be something to do with binding, but its not, anymore ideas ? maybe its something to do with the mamba not likeing the micro rx.i can still run the car i just cant turn off with switch i have to unplug batts

Your best bet would be to send it back to Spektrum with a detailed problem your having and they should be able to fix it.......did you buy it new or from someone.

I want you to give it another shot of course, could you please set the settings on your radio at zero, and for the throttle and reverse set it on high......and then when you bind the rx to the radio you can then lower the adjustments. I did this years back when the Spektrum came out and i recalibrated the esc to the radio. Have you tried reprogramming the esc, if not try and make sure your settings on the radio are set too high.

ok,another new micro rx came today and its exactly the same as the other one:confused: they cant both be broke so ?
i even tried binnding using a brushed esc that i have and then back on the car,no diff.
tried setting endpoints all the way 125%t and 125%b no diff.
tried both std size rx's and they both work as they should.
one thing i did not try was re-binding the std size rx,i could do that and see what happens,i would then say if it worked fine its just one of thouse things with the micro rx but if the same happened to it then it would be something i have done wrong:confused:
dont now what to try next.

I have been thinking about your problem and i seriously think its not your rx at all, it might be the programming on the esc........please download the new firmware and install it on the esc......

i dont think its that as the 2 std rx's work fine, and i'm sure its already the latest version anyway, may be its something with the tx ? but again the 2 std rx's are fine as it is so :confused:and i already tried a different esc with no difference
