hello to all. i am new here, but not to r/c. i have had mostly 1/10 scale cars. i have had 3 micro's in the past. losi mini t, xray m18, and the associated rc18t. i bought the trucks new and the car used. well long story short before i got to use them they were stolen from a house i was redoing before i really got to use them. i had a total of 5 battery packs combined with all 3 cars. now i am going to get another one for my son and i. not sure what to get though. i do have it down to the micro rs4 and getting another xray m18. my son wants to get a radio shack xmods, but i cant bring myself to purchase r/c from them. well i need to buy 2 cars anyway. what do you guys think. any suggestions. thanks in advance dave

I would do an offroad one too, rc18 or xray m18t.
I do think rc18 is the better one for bashing though.

If i were you i would really let your son decide, onroad or offroad.....what does your son like to do most, how old is he by the way. Would he like to give racing a go..........Welcome to the forum and i hope to see you more on the boards.:D

Okay cool.....then i would suggest getting a M18, you can teach him the tricks of setting it up and electronics placement.:D And you can also take him to the track to practice and maybe compete.
