Stock Transmitter with Aftermarket Receiver? Help.

I'm looking to get a used(cheap) receiver for use with the stock radio but ran into a problem.

I was trying to get a Novak XXL 27mhz FM receiver from Ebay for $20.00. But will this work with the stock radio? I just want something that doesnt cost $99.00.

Any suggestions would be great....

A 27MHz AM Novak XXL Receiver or almost any other RC hobby 27MHz AM will work with the Micro-T Transmitter. A FM receiver will not.

AM = Amplitude Modulation, FM = Frequency Modulation they are not interchangeable.

This is a Micro-T with an unboxed 27MHz AM Novak XXL receiver and a Mamba25 BESC. And yes it works with the 27MHz AM Micro-T transmitter.
